About Silk Sensu Fabric Dyed with Mt Fuji Lava
“Please note that since each fabric is hand-dyed, the color variations and texture of the lava dye will differ from one to another. Thank you for your understanding.
We use finely crushed Mt Fuji lava as a dye to individually dye each piece of Tussah silk fabric. While the lava itself gives an impression of rugged strength, after dyeing, it transforms into a very gentle pink hue. Despite its delicate coloring, it embodies the majesty of Mt Fuji, truly conveying the breath of the Earth. It is a sophisticated and beautiful masterpiece.

About ametsuchi
“Ame” represents heaven, and “tsuchi” represents earth. Just as it is written at the beginning of the Kojiki: “‘In the beginning, there was ame and tsuchi…’
In the distant past, people referred to the vast nature before them, the very Earth itself, as ‘ame tsuchi.’ They revered it, held it in awe, and coexisted with it.
In our modern lives, often caught up in our daily routines, we tend to forget this.
But when we touch a piece of the Earth, something deep within us is healed.
Could it be because it resonates with us, as we all originate from the same Earth?
