Earrings Made with Lace and Hand-Dyed Fabric – A Unique Kurumi Button Design
These earrings are crafted by combining hand-dyed fabric with lace cut during obi-making, turned into charming kurumi buttons.
The lace used here originally adorned a hanhaba obi and was a favorite material—so much so that cutting it felt almost too difficult! But this delicate lace, paired with hand-dyed fabric used in haneri (collars), created an irresistibly cute design. The combination of green from the fabric and gray from the lace results in a beautiful and unique look.
For the beads, we carefully chose green and a single gray bead to match the fabric and lace, adding a subtle, elegant touch.

Every detail is meticulously crafted. The back of the fabric-covered buttons is sealed with the same fabric and edged with embroidery thread, ensuring they look just as charming on the reverse side.
