“We have dyed this fluffy silk stole using the red earth of Hagi. Traditionally, Hagi-yaki pottery was fired using the red soil from the island of Mitajima in the Japan Sea and the flesh-colored earth from Hofu City in Yamaguchi Prefecture. At Ametsuchi, we have used the red soil from Hagi to create a slightly salmon-pink shade.
When spread out, it’s perfect for wearing at dinner parties or concerts. When twisted and wrapped around your neck, you can adjust the volume and style it as you like. Twist it into a compact shape for easy portability.
