S.A Arts&Crafts “Ruri glass glaze pot”
It was made by shaping slightly rough white clay on a potter’s wheel and applying glaze that develops a beautiful deep ruri color.
And it is a bowl of a convenient size that can be used for meals and desserts, for one person or as a serving pot.
Also, the color of the glaze shines on the white clay. The unique texture of pottery clay and the shades of colors that appear in the shaving marks make it feel like Japanese tableware.
The vivid yet deep colors are easy to match with food, and can be enjoyed with a variety of dishes.
How to create
We have a small electric furnace and an electric potter’s wheel at home, and all processes from clay kneading, molding, biscuit firing, glazing, and firing are done by hand.
It cannot be mass-produced, but each one has its own expression and you can enjoy the handmade taste.
