We create bags with a crafty touch, combining Indian embroidered fabrics and Nepalese crochet knits with Japanese-made materials. Our goal is to enjoy the craftsmanship of artisans by using simplified motifs and simple designs that anyone can appreciate, aiming to create timeless pieces.
In 2019, I had the opportunity to visit India for the first time and had the chance to visit several workshops where artisans dedicated their time and effort to craft products. Inspired by the skills of Indian artisans, I wanted to create something original, starting with bead embroidery on bags. Later, in the spring of 2023, I met a crochet knitting manufacturer in Nepal, and this marked the beginning of a new venture to expand the brand’s identity with a range of new items.
Features
The embroidery used for the bag body is designed in Japan and then hand-embroidered by Indian artisans, one piece at a time. After several prototypes, the embroidered fabric for the bags is completed. Subsequently, the embroidered fabric, sent to Japan, is combined with Japanese-made leather and hardware to create the bags.
The crochet knitted bags are crafted by female artisans in Nepal, contributing to employment creation and sustenance. Each bag is hand-knitted by these artisans, with designs sent from Japan. The handles and linings, made from Japanese materials, are then combined in Japan to create functional and user-friendly bags.
